INVESTMENTS

Insurance services provided by CHFP

Insurance provides protection against a specific risk such as burglary, fire, injury or illness. Insurance will pay out a specified amount if the event it covers occurs. The amount that a policy will pay depends on how much you spend, the risk you want to insure against and the information that you have provided to the insurance company.

There are many different types of insurance and this can make finding the right policy for you daunting. Our financial advisers can help to advise you on the correct policy for your needs.

Insurance in the UK is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK financial services regulator, and it regulates the sale of most types of insurance in the UK.
ADVISERS

This is also known as permanent health insurance (PHI) and is designed to replace part of your income in the event that you are unable to work due to illness or disability.

These policies continue to pay out until you return to work, die or the term of the policy end.

ENQUIRE NOW

These policies are designed to provide financial security for your dependents if you die unexpectedly and can help to provide income or repay any debts outstanding such as mortgages and loans. The main types of life insurance include whole of life and term assurance.

Whole of life cover pays out an agreed sum whenever you die whereas term insurance pays out a lump sum if you die within the specified term of the policy.

Term insurance is the cheaper of these two products.

ENQUIRE NOW

Critical illness cover will pay out a lump sum if you are diagnosed with a specified critical illness.

This cover is designed to repay mortgages and loans, provide help during an extended period when you might not be able to work due to a critical illness and/or possibly help you finance adjustments to your home so that you can cope with your condition better.

Most critical illness policies cover cancer, strokes and heart attacks, but it is necessary to check the full policy terms and conditions for details of cover and for definitions of medical conditions that will result in a payout.
